East Cheshire Living Landscape Volunteer
You don't need to commit to volunteering every week, we will send out monthly emails with the planned days so you can decide which you would like to join in with.
No experience needed- Just enthusiasm, a love of wildlife and a desire to spend time in the beautiful Cheshire countryside.
We are looking for volunteers to join our conservation group, tasks vary from week to week and on a seasonal basis. Regular activities include tree and hedge planting, birch clearance, reed cutting, grassland restoration and invasive species control.
We work across Cheshire Wildlife Trust reserves including Danes Moss, Swettenham Valley and Bagmere. We also carry out conservation tasks on 3rd party land and the upland areas of the South-West peaks as part of our Pennine fringe work.
No experience is necessary as all equipment and training will be provided, but we are looking for people who are:
*passionate and enthusiastic about conservation and British wildlife
*practical and hard working with desire to get stuck in
*happy to work outside in all weathers in sometimes steep terrain
*friendly and approachable and enjoy working as part of a team
*have their own transport and are willing to travel around the east of the county
If this sounds like you and you’d like to help your local wildlife, meet new people and learn some new skills then please get in touch.
